About This Episode:

YES or NO? How are you responding to God?

The Bible tells us, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 1:20).

Amen, or let it be so. God gives us promises and definitely fulfills them. God doesn’t break His promises. We can place our trust in God, and our faith will not be worthless or wasted.

How do ‘YES’ and ‘NO’ work in our lives?

Grace is the undeserved empowerment that allows us to go, do, and be. Grace is NOT a covering for failure and sin. That’s the reason why we might not see explosive God movement in our lives and why we do not have all the yeses of God in hand. We sometimes self-sabotage and prevent ourselves from receiving the fullness of grace and God’s ‘yes.’

If you don’t say ‘no’ to ungodliness, you’re not going to see the ‘yes’ of the promises of God. This generation self-indulges and gives in to its desires, fear, unforgiveness, etc. We must reform and make room for God! Give God your full ‘yes’ and say ‘no’ to ungodliness.

Further Bible Reading:

2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Acts 2:17 (NIV)

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

Titus 2:11-14 (NIV)

11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
