About This Episode:

Are you fully human? We lose some of our humanity when we don’t follow what Jesus says.

Through Jesus, we are the new humanity: a new race born on the earth but filled with the spirit of heaven. Once we are saved and make God the center of our lives, we want to get rid of every trick of the devil that would rob us of being fully human.

Some of the most common “Devil’s Tricks” to watch out for include: unforgiveness, bitterness, spirit of offense, hurt feelings, disappointment, being critical, and needing to have your own way. When we allow these “tricks” to operate in our lives, we limit the rule and power of God, and prevent ourselves from being fully human.

God’s will and God’s rule go together.

Steve Gray

The Kingdom of God is wherever Jesus is able to rule as Kingdom: your house, your heart, your church, etc. We must make the Holy Spirit comfortable. How? Create the atmosphere of heaven. Pray to release yourself from ungodly things and feelings. Then the Kingdom of God can come forth, and humanity can be restored to its fullest measure. We can be fully human.

Episode Notes:

  • 1:11 If we follow what Jesus says, we become fully human.
  • 2:35 If we don’t forgive, we are going to fall into a trick of the devil.
  • 3:14 If you have unforgiveness, it’ll cause you to be less of a human than Jesus died for you to be—a full life. Add to it bitterness, envy, pride, whatever it is, it knocks you down a notch and robs you of living the full life that Jesus died for humanity to live on this earth now.
  • 7:00 God’s will and God’s rule go together. When we say, “Thy will be done,” that’s the evidence that the Kingdom of God is among us and that we’re living in the Kingdom of God because we’re the people that are putting forth the will of God through our lives. The Kingdom of God is wherever He rules.
  • 13:48 The devil’s scheme is to get you to focus on your wounds rather than on your healing.
  • 15:12 There’s a huge trend to make church services center around everyone’s hurts and disappointments and try get them through that another week, as opposed to getting them transformed and accepting the new humanity.
