Have you activated the truth about salvation in your life?
In Joshua 2, Rahab encountered the Israelites, who were sent by God to conquer the city of Jericho. The Israelite spies whom she hid made an agreement with her: “Our lives for your lives” (Joshua 2:20). Her and her family’s lives would be saved in exchange for the protection she had already given the spies and would continue to give them. This Scripture describes true salvation, a fair exchange to which both parties remained loyal.
People often misunderstand and get sidetracked when it comes to salvation. Salvation is not a single event or decision, and it does not begin and end with one prayer. When we limit salvation and do not embrace it for the entirety of our lives, then we make salvation empty and powerless.
“Being a Christian” should mean something. Salvation must not be empty! If we say we are Christian and “saved,” then there should be signs in our lives that we are who we say we are. If we have salvation, then we should not have the same worries, the same troubles, the same lifestyle.
Salvation means that Jesus gave His life for us, dying on the cross, and now it’s time for us to give our lives wholly and completely to Him. That’s the fair exchange of life.
Salvation is a life changing, transforming power that causes you to be another person—a new creation.

Questions:
Have I fully given my life to Jesus—His life for my life?
Are there signs in my life that my life has been transformed by salvation—by Jesus?
Do I cling to my world or Jesus’ world?
